Underweight??

As many of you know I have a 8 month old ig called odin. He has been blighted by tail loses and gangrene. However I put him on the scales last night and they say he is only 58 grammes. Although this is an increase of 4-6 grammes in the past 6 weeks I am still concerned he is under weight. His snout to vent length is 5 inches which I think is small as well.

What do you all think???

Does he have a good UvB light? What type of diet are you giving him?

Yeah he has a zoo-med 10.0 UVB tube. He normally gets things like rocket, watercress, spring (collard) greens, peppers, sugar snaps, grapes, flowers, green beans, spring onion leaves and anything else I can find such as squashes, etc. I've had loads of advice on diet and most people say i'm doing the right things. But I was thinking perhaps the stress of losing his tail and fighting gangrene has stressed his body and slowed his growth.

You could be right. Can you post us a picture of Odin?
Not all igs will grow to be 7 ft monsters. Some just get bigger than others just like people are slightly different in size.

I have tried to post pictures but having problems with my camera but if you look back at previous posts you can see pictures of Odin. He hasn't grown much since those were taken. He is still shedding every month or so. But reading other peoples posts like replover and roynan their igs seem huge compared to Odin. Its not like his ribs show or anything, he's just really small.

Hey you know what they say all good things come in small packages!!!

Have you had him tested for parasites?
As long as he is shedding regularly he's growing. He may just be from a geographic area where they are a bit smaller.

Yeah had him tested as soon as I got him and he was clear. He has never been a big eater so perhaps he'll always be a runt.
