UVB benefits to non-requiring species

Hi!
Although a lot of species don't have UVB requirements, it's also a well known fact that they benefit from UVB exposure.

I have been giving my gargoyle geckos sun bathes and artificial UVB exposure very occasionally since I have them almost a year now but 4 days ago I decided to put them permanently under a UVB tube.
24h later my female was showing a lot more orange than she usually does and those orange stripes are getting bigger and brighter every day.
48h later her appetite skyrocketed. She started eating like a pig really. While before 3 crickets were enough for a night, she mangled 8 last night after eating 7 the day before. Today afternoon she even got up for a quick one cricket snack and went back to sleep =)

What I would like to ask all of you that have non requiring herps under UVB lights is if you noticed so much improvement in so little time.
I find it hard to believe but beside spring is here nothing else changed!

Thanks! =)
Ricardo
