Great new's m8. Glad on the mend.
Just to be on the safe side check the inside of his mouth for any white or yellow patches.... mouth rot can get inside the mouth and then from there up into the brain. Seen this with a water dragon and it's really not pretty. :-(
Hope all continues to go well and he's 100 % soon

Your vet will give you an antibiotic if its inside the mouth

A vet will give you baytril or something similar. Slim should get a shot straight away then 5 days course. i found the easiest way to give the antibiotics at home was to inject a wax worm then feed to the animal.... very hard to inject crickets or locusts for a delivery system... trust me I've tried. ;-)

I don't have any vets where I live that know a thing about reptiles, and I think it might be inside his mouth, probably for a very long time, the pet store where I got him from said they had to force feed him ever since he burned himself on the heat rock that they left him on, which probably led to his mouth rot, I might could talk to one of our vets and educate him on what my poor little slim needs, any suggestions? I've been force feeding him he eats on his own sometimes, but has alot of trouble, and I just looked inside his mouth after andyb5's first post his mouth is more white and yellow than anything else.

Ok before you act on any of my advice please be aware i'm in northern ireland and drugs available to me may not be available to you.
Mouth rot or more correctly stomatitis can be treated a 5% baytril antibiotic at a rate of 0.1 ml per 50g body weight.
this is the daily amount. the vet max decide to give a larger one off dose at the surgery and then follow up with the daily dosage.
These are tiny amounts but should still be used with care.
Someone where you are should be able to give you details on local medicines used and appropriate doses.
Have you a local reptile shop you could ask at? always my first port of call. ;-)
By the way... it's one uniform colour your looking for in a healthy reptile mouth... with obvious exceptions like blue tongued skink etc. ... a mouth with patches of off colour... white or yellow... or bloody spots are points for concern.
Hope this helps.
Andy

Mouthrot is a secondary illness, so force feeding wouldnt cause it. Rather then force feeding him crix you may want to consider a slury as you can suck some up in a syringe and squirt it in his mouth, I find this way easier and alot less stressful on the herp
