Little help please?

Hello I have recently saved a Cuban Anole from a local pet store, he is in terrible shape. They burned the bottom of his belly by giving him a heat rock as his only source of heat, they force fed him by tapping tweezers on the front of his mouth to get his mouth to open and shoving pinkies down his throat. Therefore causing the front of his mouth to develope some sort of infection, i don't have any books on me at the time to study and analize the proper diagnosis for his condition, and since I don't know what kind of infection it is I can't treat it, i'm only in college studying to be a vet, but I don't have the proper knowledge at the moment to help him. So I was wondering if anyone has seen an infection as to were the skin is black and crusty, it kind of looks like a bacterial infection like Iguanas get sometimes, except without the swelling. If anyone knows what it is or how I should treat it e-mail me! As for now I am currently rubbing triple antibiotic ointment on him and soaking his burned belly in a mixture of water and iodine. Thanks God Bless!!
Just in case you don't know what a Cuban Anole is!! This is what he's supposed to look like.

what is the conditions of snout damage and how do you properly treat it, if you are reffering to snout damage as to him rubbing his nose on the glass or other surfaces or possibly burning himself then no it's not that, it seems more like an infection to me.

Maybe a little mouth rot. Only going by my experience with water dragons but if looks like a black crusty scab it's likely to be mouth rot.
Soak the area to soften scab, remove scab gently, there will be a little bleeding. Then treat at least twice daily with iodine that has been diluted 1 part iodine to 10 parts water.
The scab HAS to be removed to get the iodine can get to infection instead of just lay on top of the scab.
Again this would be my guess from working with water dragons.
all the best m8.

thanxs, by the way i'm soaking the burn in iodine diluted with water, and the scab on his mouth peeled off on it's own last night. i will try putting diluted iodine on that too!

Reread the post and the more I look at it the more it sounds like mouth rot.
Make sure the scab doesn't reform and keep using iodine on a qtip to the mouth.
Hope everything works out ok. Know exactly what your going through m8.
