how to raise humidity?

Greetings all , took my baby ,clara belle, to the vet yesterday and the general checkup, bones, muscle ,eyes, toes, etc, all looked good . By the way shes a green iggy. I got her from a bad situation 5 weeks ago and she is making good progress, gaining size and weight, but the main issue now is skin. She must have had a tough time shedding in the past. Lots of thick spots. Also dealing with old burns which I thought were shed problems, they are healed over , no discharge or raw tissue thats why I thought is was shed problem. ANYWAY the vet said time and good living conditions , warm, clean , proper humidity will clear things up. SO my problem is getting the humidity up to proper range ,I cant get above 52% .
Encloser is 4'x 4' x 3' mounted to the ceiling . My lights and temps are all good for both day and night requirements. I have a 9"x 14" pan of water in the encloser on a heating pad "human type",misting frequently but humidity just wont move. Any suggestions or commercial unit ideas gratefully accepted. This little girl has been thru enough in her short life , 5"snout to vent length, she deserves a fresh start with a better out look. thanks Paul

inkmans idea is good too, i do both...I have a Under Tank Heater under all of my water bowls and a filter or bubbler in all of them (all my beasts require humidity of 80%) so I know how hard it can be to keep it up

Humidity can be a pain. What is the cage made of? Is it glass or acrylic or one of those terrible humidity killers like screen? My cage is screen and I have a 3 foot x 2 foot water pan on a heater, a humidifer meant for human use, and I spray like a mad-woman and it doesnt do anything for me. I just give lots of nice long soaks in the tub and spray him extra when he's in shed and I havent had any problems.

It wasnt much of a surgery, just a snap of the wrist and the tip was gone. I posted pictures here: http://www.herpcenter.com/showthread...0433#post70433

Good news, I stole the humidifier from the living room and brought it into the family/iggy room and after 24 hrs. the hum. is running about 65%, "Clara Belle" is much happier and sheddin like crazy, probably the first good one in a long time . Have had her 6 weeks today and things are progressing well. Will post pics when all clean
