Its still not eating properly!!
Hi,
I seen in one of the other threads that a baby ig should be eating about a cup of salad every day. I'm lucky if mine eats about a teaspoon. Any ideas??

I am not sure about how much they should be eating but I would imagine a lot more than that. We have four iggys that are now about 4 months old and each eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup a day now. If they are stressed or not warm enough ours will go off food. I'm sure that better help will be along as more iggy servants see this thread.

In that thread we were talking about an ig whose body was 6 inches long. If it is a BABY baby it will not eat as much.
But a teaspoon still doesn't seem like much. How long is your ig (snout to vent length)?

My ig is not much smaller than replovers. He is about 4-5 inches snout to vent length. Thats why I really got worried.

Maybe your temps arent warm enough,or your iggy could be stressed...have you checked him for parasites yet(have a fecal done by the vet)?

I've had him for about 6 months and he seems to have settled well. His temps i've raised yesterday to 100 degrees at the warm end to try to stimulate his appetite. He was checked as soon as I got him for parasites.

Also do I raise my temps and sacrifice my humidity because every time i've raised the temps the humidity goes down.
