Today I went to my petstore and of course had to see the snakes.Since I bought mine I expected to see all their "brothers and sisters",because they were there since New Year,and suddenly all sold,except two.One of them is a lovely snow corn,same age as mine but fatter ! As I had a closer look at it,I noticed two dark green or black large spots on the underside of the snake.

Now,last time I saw such a spot was on the web on a photograph of a dead corn!!

Does someone know what that is,maybe I can save that snake by making them aware of the danger of those stains (Yep,that's the word I was looking for;it's more like stains than spots!!)

I'm very worried about that baby!Or can it be that snow corns are kind of see-through?No,I don't really think so.I wouldn't know,because I never saw a snow's belly!
Please help!!

Yes Jacky, snows are kind-of see-through,. what you were seeing is likely to have been an organ. Babies seem to be more see-through than adults, and you can see several organs from the underside of the snake.

Or it could of just eaten, Pixel used to get like purple stains just after digesting, and it would move as the days went on, then he would poo it out

i wasn't sure what that was before either. when my snow was a baby I saw the same thing and was worried but yea they are more 'see through' as little guys. i can't see them anymore since he's grown up.

Snows as well as some Amels have that see thru effect. If you hold them up to the light you can see the heart beating and the lung expand and contract.

So why then have dead or sick corns stains like that on their belly??

The picture you seen...the snake probably died from some kind of rupture, which is very noticable like you when you get a blood blister.
