Since Thursday, Talyn has been "peeling": clear scales hanging or dropping off all over her, even her eye caps. She didn't go blue this time. I'm just wondering if this is really a shed -- or a reaction to her injury or the antibiotics ??
Baxter thinks she probably doesn't have enough energy to invest in a good shed AND her recovery at the same time. So this shed is just going to be bad.
I'd like to help her out, but I can't bathe her because of the stitches. I'm trying to keep the overall humidity in her terrarium up, but with just newspaper, it's hard.
I've heard snakes can go through several sheds in rapid succession when injured. ????

PS -- her stitched wounds are looking good. No sign of swelling or infection. She seems to be tolerating her daily antibiotic injections OK too.
Keep her in your thoughts though... she's got a long way to go before she's 100% again! Thanks!

I'm guessing that your theories are correct - just keep doing what you can for her, and keep humidity up high at this time. Snakes can shed in quick succession at times of injury, as a way to heal themselves quickly. Keep up your wonderful efforts and she'll be better soon. She is in our thoughts - get better soon Talyn!
