Idea's?
Alright, my fiance's albino burmese has mites and they flare up everytime he eats, I finally got them off my ball python (knock's on wood), and I don't want my new red-tail to possibly get them from my ever forgetful fiance forgeting to wash his hands. I don't want to resort to harsh chemicals in the burmese cage, especially if I'm directing my fiance to clean it, i'm afraid he would forget or mess up and he's talking about going to homedepot to get pestacides! And we have a 4 month old son, yikes! so my question is, does anyone have any suggestions of household cleaners that are not that harsh that I could clean the cage with that would possibly knock out the mite infestation? I've heard to use vegetable oil, but my other problem is, it is cold here right now very cold, so we have to clean the cages inside or the hose and the cage will freeze outside! I thought about using clorox wipes, they say they are safe to use around kids and pets, but just want someone's input on the idea first? Thanks.
