Metamorph Enterprises : 60 W ACTIVE UVHEAT/ MEGA-HEAT
This is for 1 anole in a 10 gallon tank. The idea of only one lamp is appealing.
Thanks for your help!

Sounds similar to this one, which is what I use for my crestie:
Welcome To ReptileUV - MegaRayŽ UVB lamps for reptile lighting worldwide
I like the lamp very well so far, and the crestie seems to be thriving. They don't need high temps (can't survive them, actually, and prefer temps in the room temp range) and they don't have a high UV requirement either (many people don't use any UV with them at all). But I know nothing about anoles and can't give any advice in that department.

For your long run you'll save alot using HQL lighting with a starter it about $50 to get the sets with the 80/120w starter but the bulbs only run $10 and have a good uv out put untill they burn out ( you don't have to replace them every 6 months). New versons put out 7% UVB the older only put out 2%.

Ok, I will check out the other brand. I was mainly wondering if those combo heat/uv lamps worked. I am so tired of getting caught up in marketing, as opposed to what's really good for your pet, ya know? Even seaching online is questionable, as there are so many supposed experts saying one thing or another...hard to figure out what is correct.
I appreciate you guys helping out a relative newbie to this whole herp deal. I am a vet tech for small animals, but no one at my place knows anything about this stuff.
