Mites near eyes / mouth / nose etc
I figured I'd generalize the title for anyone with similar situation(s).
We recently acquired a shipment of U. Phantasticus and are in the process of dealing with the mites, apparently inherent to Wild Caught specimens. Using the recommended Reptile Relief and a Q-tip (cotton swab) we have removed quite a few but have found one mite in the corner of the eye (right where you have crusties in the morning, near where a humans tear ducts would be.)
Whats the best way to handle that mite?
Side note how do mites propagate (sexual/asexual) and how do I keep them from spreading to other herps, and I'm assuming maybe erroneously that they aren't able to live on warm blooded animals?
Thanks
-Paul
