1) Would it be cheaper to buy a 2o gallon /w lid (petstore goes around 20-25 for 20 gallon tank and 10-15 for lid)

or

2) Build a tank using a 5 sided box with plexiglass for the 6th side and on the side cut out a door(that is snake proof) with the dementions being 30L x 18W x 18H

or

3) i have a few 10 gallon tanks and I could knock out one of the sides and attach them together using appropiet material and making custom lid

side question- how would I bond glass together? (glue)?

i am thinking number 3 would be the cheapest but im not making my decision finale yet for I am going to fleamarket, and yardsales this weekend and who knows the deals ill find there

Do what I do and hit the yard sale saturdays,,,,I have like 9 20 gal,,,,,,and I usually pay about 5 dollars each

use glass bonding adheasive its blacks silicone like stuff available at any glass place (same stuff they use on windshields then cover with aquarium silicone to seal and protect

I've never found any plexiglass that's very cheap. Plus it scratches very easily if you put anything in it with claws. It soon ends up looking pretty bad.

I got lucky at a yard sale and found a 55 gallon for 10 dollars! It had chips on the corners, but it works for my Tokay!
