Iguana setup

I just wanted to tell everyone about mine and my husbands iguana setups, We have three closets in our room, two of them we completly cleared out removed the wooden doors, and installed glass and screen doors on them, we planted real plants in the closet!! thier grape vines, we drilled a couple of logs and climbing sticks into the top and bottom, added a very nice heat lamp drilled to the ceiling and water bowl that is securly wedged up against the corners of the closets in the bottom, put some repti bedding on the floor over a water absorbing pad. It is so awesome. thought i'd share our baby's habitats

Sounds time consuming! I would love to see pictures!

Do you have UVB?
And is Repti-bedding a particulate? (meaning is it alot of little tiny peices, or is it one solid peice?)

If you are talking about the bark chip bedding ,...get rid of it. There is NO safe particulate substrate for iguanas. Since they tongue flick everything they will end up swallowing some and there is a danger of impaction. Most keepers either use a bare lineoleum floor or newspapper or a combination of both.
You also made no mention of a UVB bulb. What are you using?

Yeah, potting soil is a bad BAD thing...try putting the plants into pots and putting BIG rocks over the dirt so the iggys cant get into it and maybe go do slate tile or something as the flooring (its prettier than news paper)

I took your advice and I put down an absorbing hospital pad down on the floor, (it's green and washable), and I re planted the vines into pots, and put some limestone rocks over the soil part.

Make sure that all the rocks are way to big for the ig to get in its mouth.
If it can,... it will!

Already covered, their big slates of limestone, real thick, shouldn't break off I hand tested them.
