reminds me of the mesh reptarium's, there sold everywhere, ive never had one, but they seem useless enless you put something from the desert in them.

I think those mesh ones are supposed to be for chams

I've never had a chameleon, or really looked into them, but wouldn't they want a higher humidity then those enclosure's would provide?

Depends on the species, I think. Some don't need as much humidity as an iguana does. And those mesh things keep humidity a *little* better than that open barred iguana cage. Generally, though, it's much easier keeping the right humidity levels in an enclosed cage. You just have a lot more control.

The reptariums were originally designed around Chameleons so there would be no glass for them to see their reflection in.
And even though they need humidity they also needed airflow, thus the open mesh.
