Hi João
Thanks for the compliment on our Green Tree Python terrariums. We still use paper towel on the floor for them, but the rest looks really nice. Coral is beautiful! and although I know it's difficult to wait, if she ends up having mites or worms, you'll be glad you did. In the meantime, the QT doesn't have to be a waste: you can spend lots of time setting up a really nice home with different plants etc. (I think that is the fun part!) And you can test the temperatures on the warm and cool sides to make sure it's all running perfectly before she moves in! Of course, you can always make adjustments later, but it's less stress on the snake if you decide to add or remove plants, rocks, branches etc. I was reading about Sinaloans and part of their natural range is the desert areas of northern Mexico. My sister lives in San Diego (right near the Mexican border) and we made a succulent garden in her front yard. We chose pretty plants without thorns (because of her dogs!) and we added some dried up branches and rocks. This might give you some ideas. (You would be better off with a soil substrate than the gravel we used in the garden, but these plants might be more suitable for the type of snake and terrarium environment you need: ![]() ![]() ![]() PS -- the cow skull is made of papier machée. We just went to the garden center and chose succulents that we liked that didn't have thorns. Some of them have grown VERY VERY large! Good luck! Andrea |
