Sad ending for baby Red-eared Slider

I have always been a turtle lover, so this has affected me a whole lot, even though all these years have past.

When I was ten, I lived near a three or four year old boy. He had a two inch red-eared slider. He kept it in a tank only three times the turtle's size. The boy was unpredictable.

Well, one day, the little boy was poking the poor turtle's head. The turtle, of course annoyed, bit the boy's finger.

The little boy reacted by...... RIPPING THE TURTLE'S HEAD OFF!!!!!

Please, please, PLEASE, if you have young children, supervise them when handling any small animal, even the most well-tempered animals.
R.I.P little turtle...
