My boa just got finished shedding the other day and it seemed to be a good shed (all came off in one piece). When I brought him out yesterday I noticed that one of his eyes had a little indention on it, kind of like the indentions on a pea. It is small but disturbing nonetheless. Should I be worried or is it a result of the shed? He didn't have it prior to it. Advice?

vet... but are you sure the eye caps came off on the shed???

I agree with above firts check the shed make sure the eye caps are there if they are then take it to the vet asap.

Yes check the shed for the eyecaps. If you no longer have the shed skin try placing the snake in a wet pillowcase with a wet towel (inside the enclosure of course)overnight. The extra moisture will help to release the eye cap if it is in fact retained.
It is also possible that this is the result of a drop in humidity and has nothing to do with a retained cap. This happens frequently with Ball pythons that are kept too dry. A good misting and the dent disappears.
