swimming pool herps

OK, so this morning I went outside to shock my kiiddie pool, which hadnt been done in a month (abt a 200 sq ft area and about 3ft feep) and I looked in to discover there are TADPOLES swimming around insde it. My parents want to drain the pool but then the tadpoles will die, they are too fast to catch with a net. any ideas on how to remove them without harming them?

Hello,

You could "net" them as you drain the pool. The water from the draining must be coming out somewhere. You could also just add a screen they can't fit through to where the water is being extracted from. Once the water is only a few inches deep, they shoul be much easier to catch!

oh, ok. there are only a couple of them so I am figuring they got in on a bird of some sort as eggs or smaller tadpoles, otherwise thered be zillions.

They might not last long from the chlorine and algaecide in the water.

LOL It is also possible that you had a normal hatch and some bird discovered the buffet!
