hi. I need help identifying a hatchling sized lizard found jumping from a plant as it was being watered. It is about an inch and a half long, brownish green. Its tail is as long as its body and I can see light striping on it. I have fed it some fruit flies and very small crickets. Several places I have taken it tell me it is an anole, but it does not look like any of the pictures I have seen. It facial shape looks extremely different as does the general body build.
any info would be helpful.

The easiest and best way for us to identify the species is through a picture. It would make this much easier. Without a picture, I too was thinking "anole". There are several different types of anoles by the way. Where was this little guy caught?

I found him when I was watering a plant. He jumped out. Im in Michigan.

It was a planter with mixed plants in it that was sent to a patient at a healthcare facility in ann arbor michigan

Hi I went over to the link. He does not look like a skink. He is very small, so Im not sure I can get a picture of him. In the morning I will try to get a picture.

the shape looks alot like that but definetly not the markings. He looks alot like the talking gecko on the tv comercials. (at least his head and body shape)
