nope they're underneath the rim of the tank so the wire was still crushing it so I offset the tank so a corner was hanging off and that's where the wire is coming out

Another question about them, that padded cover that comes with them, should I leave it on or take it off?

I've had a hard time with humidity also. I have a Under Tank Heater, and I put my snakes' water bowl on top of it. Then I cover the tank with a blanket, (just the top though) and my humidity ranges from 78-89%.
I should probably get another Under Tank Heater for the middle of the tank, my temp is pretty constant at 84-89 degrees in the middle of the tank, but I worry about my boys not being warm enough. Although, they usually lay on the cool side anyway. Snakes are definately strange! :P
