I hope gnats in my tokays aquarium won't hurt him because I don't really think I could stop them from getting in unless I totally seal the top of the tank We have had our window open and those buggers can squeeze through the screen and get in the house....It is bugging me, but I am hoping the darn things won't bother my gecko. I think the gnats go to the tank because of the live plants and the water fountain (they are also around the house plants ANY IDEAS? But most importantly is my gecko going to be ok with this invasion?

The gnats will not bother the gecko.
They are after the decaying organic matter in the tank and the plants.

ok at least my gecko is safe. I am taking out two of the plants and replacing them with better ones. I thank you for filling me in.

Just make sure they're gnats and not some other small flying insect, like phorid flies. I HATE phorid flies. They look sort of like fruit flies to the casual observer.
