Tokay question!

After looking at pictures of Tokays on here and on the web, I am sorta thinking my tokay is on the slender side. He isn't skinny, but not as big as the others. I think he is full grown. I am pretty sure he is eating good. Usually, I see him eat when I put the crickets in (he eats alot). I feed about 2 dozen sometimes more every other week. The crickets live in the tank with him so he eats when he wants. I feed the cricks that he doesn't get to right away. So, he always has food available. This last time though, he didn't go after the crickets right away.. The crickets are disappearing little by little. It may be because he was shedding. He is still shedding on his feet. Does anyone know if shedding causes them to eat less? I think I am going to try a pinky mouse this time (along with crickets or wax worms if petsmart has them). I never tried that. Maybe he is tired of crickets? Also, his is tail has been broken by the previous owner I think. I can see a ring where it appears to have grown back some. Will his tail grow back completely?

The tail will grow back but it will never look as good as a tail that never broke.
Try breeding your own crickets or gutloading them before feeding them.

I will have pics soon, maybe then we'll see if he is skinny. Also, if he is really a he =). I am thinking about naming him King if a boy. He might be stressed from me adding plants and a fountain to his tank. It looks really good. I am just waiting for the tropical background to come, and it will be finished. I don't really want to raise my own crickets>..they stink bad. I do feed the crickets a quencher and food (it isn't called gut load though). I will if it will be best for my gecko though. Will a pinky fatten him up (if he eats it)? The tail doesn't look bad. I think it was broke awhile ago. He didn't have a very nice owner before. Hopefully, he will relax now that the tank is finished on the inside. Maybe a friend will cheer him up. I need to find out the sex first. I don't want two boys who fight each other... The tank is a 55 gallon, plenty of room for two. I only have one log to hide under but plenty of drift wood and plants for coverage. Any thoughts? Any name suggestions?

Pinkies

You can probably try feeding a pinkie every week.Don't overfeed them though because they are fatty. You can try feeding roaches. They eat many roaches in their natural habitat. If possible try feeding him/her flying insects such as moths.Silk worms are also very good. You also can try fruit baby food and some soft fruits such as papaya and mango.

I have some cantaloupe in the fridge what about that? I will pick some fruit up tomorrow and I am going to the pet store. I will try a pinky first and then search for stores that sell the others =0) I have a hard time finding petstore who sell live food other than crickets (and petsmart sell superworms. which I tried.)
I got my background today, so I am going to try and post pics of my gecko and his aquarium. Thanks everybody!!!
