OK, I had my wife's firebelly toads all setup and thought everything was going well and then Toadzilla croaked. We thought oh well he was a bit of a runt maybe he just died and proceeded to get El Toro and Pancho. Now in a three day period Quackers and El Toro died. Any ideas? I am going to clean and sterilize everything tonight. The only thing I can think of is the moss might be the cause... So no moss and just gravel, plastic plants and rocks unless someone can think of a smoking gun. My wife is so bummed and I'm just confused as to why.

maybe it was parasites or something to that effect...sorry to hear about your loss

The toads came from different batches and none of the other people who got toads have had any problems, nor has the store had any losses. They are friends so I believe them. Thats why the only idea I have is that the moss or something in it, is doing our poor toads in. I'd like to manage to keep Pancho alive if possible.

What type of moss is it and where did it come from (bought, collected?)

Flukers-said it was good for frogs! I think it kills toads however.

It could have been the moss, maybe call the company and tell them what happened to see if its happened before
