Herpewanabe,

I know that you want a reptile, but how about a Tarantula? They are easy to care for!

I would love to get an arachnid or some type of taranchula but again it comes to the issue of my sister and mom being tarrified of them. I through out the idea yesterday and my mom loves the sound of a gecko, bearded dragon or leopard gecko (i showed her pictures !!).

Since she is already receptive to the idea, if you want to seal the deal, take her to an expo or herp shop and let her handle some.

I tryed her fiances brother has 2 boas and they are small and she will touch it but not hold it and my mom is just freaked by the idea. Maybe take them to an expo that sounds good.

LOL, my mom was scared of lizards until I got my first rescue iggy, and up until about a month ago she was scared of snakes then I took her to the expo and made her hold every snake I considered getting now she cant get enough of em! so hopefully your mom will be the same as mine!
