Hi I have 3 ball ptyhons and one of them shed 2 nt ,most of the skin came of but a bit on the back ,usualy all 3 shed alright but as u know when they shed they usualy leave u a present ,was cleaning viv out while I soaked snake in bath and I noticed the white part of the poop had black dots in it hundreds of them, so I took a closer look and noticed it was like wee bits of grit I think that was what it was , did not notice any blood but there was more fluid than usual round the poop ,went and checked the snakes anal and noticed just a we bit of blood round it just want to know can any one shed some light on this, snake is roaming round viv at minute think it wants fed but wating to see what use say,its been a while since it poop ever thing is alright etc hum/temp recently I changed substrate from woodchips to paper can snakes become constipated Thanks.

I think the best thing to do is take the fecal sample to your vet and let them check it for some type of bacteria or parasite...I have never seen this myself, maybe someone else will be able to answer better.
