Slippery viv floor

Hey there again... do I get my own section yet? 'Help Andy Section'
Just a quick question this time. My new vivs arrived and put the substrate in... wood chip... for the Bearded Dragons. But the floor of the viv seems to very slippery for them. The viv is made out of furniture board. Any suggestions on how to make it a little less slippery and therefore a little more comfortable for them?
Thanks. Andy

What kind of wood chips are you using for Bearded Dragons? You could try using sandpaper to scruff it up.

Using the light coloured dry chips for them.
Sandpaper is out.... it's a laminate board so don't want to lose that.
Was thinking outdoor carpet as an under substrate

that might work, but have you ever used wood chips. I advise against that, you could have some sharp pieces and as much as teh Bearded Dragons are on the ground I dont think its a good choice of substrate,,,IMO..

I wouldn't use the woodchips either, too many risks.

How about shelf liner or slate tiles? They both look nice and give a little traction.

I agree about any type of chips, or sand for that matter....Every time the Bearded Dragon catches crickets, he is in danger of getting impacted by eating the substrate.....hope you figure out a flooring that isnt slippery.....Lyn
