Thanks! For now my priority is to leave her enough info to prevent this to happen to the other one that shared the enclosure, if Rich and Lacey are right and this was in fact parasites.
I recommended the thorough clean and disinfection of the enclosure and decoration, the replacement of substrate, Ca and whatever food was in there and that she kept a close eye on his weight because due to employee shift rotation, is hard to keep track of what an animal eats. I advised against more anti-parasite as a preventive measure.
If you can remember anything else, please share!
As for reporting to the authorities, I guess it doesn't really matter if I do it now or later, he's already dead. I'm waiting a week or so to see if any measures are taken against that girl.

I would forward a copy of that photo to the appropriate authorities. If its like most places where it concerns enything other than a warm fuzzy it will probably lead to at most a slap on the wrist.
But at least it will be something.

Never mind forwarding a copy to the authorities - I would blow it up and paste it to the shop front for all of their potential customers to see!
I hope that the girl doesn't lose her job - and that she gets the chance to do something for the other leo that shared the viv with the little one.

LOL Steve and Britt, as it may be a good idea and will definatley get the point across I doubt it will do any serious damage, getting the pics to the proper auth. like Merlin said would hopefully have a lasting change, if nothing else it will bring attention to the poor care of the animals at the pet store, you can also call the pet stores corp. num and complain to them, honestly thats the best way to bring att. to the pet store at least thats what ive found

I don't know how things work in Portugal or the Sa but I know over here, the authorities are poo for dealing with things like this! They are more cncerned with important stuff, like the mayor getting a new car lmao
I still say get a BIG roller and tonnes of copies of his picture, sneak round in the night and paste them thick all over the doors so they can't get in in the morning heheheheeee

I found a few interesting things. I don't want to get into details now because I need to confirm it first but seems they have been operating outside the law for quite some time now. Apparently they bypassed a few key regulations for their type of business and if inspection services confirm it, punishment can go between a big fine and losing their license.
To put this into perspective, that dead leo will certainly lead to a quick slap on the wrist and then the authorities go back to the "important stuff".
Investigating a possible threat to public health for example is handled quite differently and the dead leo might just thicken that case.
In the meanwhile, stop thinking about ways to put my skinny @ss in jail =)
