Shocks toe is broken... |
| This is what our member has to say: What should I do? i picked him up to make sure hes doing ohk, no mouthrot, snoutdamage all that fun stuff and I noticed his ... |

Shocks toe is broken...
What should I do? i picked him up to make sure hes doing ohk, no mouthrot, snoutdamage all that fun stuff and I noticed his toe is bent upwards rather then the way its supposed to be and at the spot where the break is its bleeding on the inside it looks like..Im def gonna get him to the vet asap but untill then any advice would be greatly apprecitaed..pics will come once my cam is charged

If there is bleeding under the skin I would suspect a complete breakage of the bone. In that case there is a problem with the broken end damaging the surrounding tissue with movement of the foot. I would put him in a small dark container to minimize movement and further damage. This will also allow you to transport with less stress.

I put a towel over his cage so he cant see out, i also removed all of the things he can climb on, its bleeding alot more under the skin now...

It sure does look like a break Savannah. I agree with Merlin, put him in something that will limit movement.

Poor fella. Agreed, keep him as quiet as possible to avoid more damage until he can be seen by your vet.

he dosnt even act like hes hurt, im impressed that hes not stressed or anythign, still bringht green I gave him some sweet potato as a treat for being such a trooper lol

hes beginning to show that hes hurt, not walking on the foot or anything he will get a vet trip tomorrow
