does anybody know if silvadene cream is a perscription-only drug for use in animals? i ran out today and I cant remember if I need to pay for it out of my ear at the vet or if I can go to like CVS or somewhere and buy it instead. I would call the vet but i'm lazy and I wanted to see if any of ya'll knew.

You could ask the vet for a paper script and then compare pricing. Not all pharmacies charge the same. I believe vet pharmacies are outrageous just cuz they can be. Silvadene cream is the same for humans as it is for herps, no special formula to justify buying it from the vet.
