Getting a very sick and weak water monitor on thursday...
I need all the help I can get, ive read all the caresheets, cage will be setup and running with temps perfect for him when he arrives..hes severly dehydrated, has swollen joints so im suspecting Metabolic Bone Disease and his temps havnt been over 80 deg F in forever, and no UV lighting...he will be seeing my vet on friday maybe sooner...what do you guys suggest for food??? Rite now hes getting crix and mealies that he wont eat...started giving him catfood today but I will see to it that today is the only day that he will get catfood..hes not a cat...so yeah any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Try really cranking the temps up. Monitors like basking spots that are HOT!
Have you seen this care sheet?
http://www.proexotics.com/care_water.html
It also has an article from Reptiles magazine concerning water monitors.

If you really think he's dehydrated check out my dehydration page http://www.triciaswaterdragon.com/hydrate.htm which will tell you how much fluid to give him per 24 hour period for his weight range. You can add approx 1 cc of liquid calcium to the fluids you are giving him each day if you think he's calcium deficient as well.
Hope this helps.

I'm sorry little bit, I know you were looking forward to getting him home and getting him back to health..but keep up the good work with the ones you have saved.

Thats too bad but at least you tried.
No matter what you do you can't save all of them.
