Can I use Centrum Silver as a substitute multivitamin for all of my herps? How often and how much would I dust?

It was either dom, empoyner, or mark that reccommended centrum and ya'll said once weekly for the iguana, which i'll do. But what about for my Bearded dragon, white's tree frog, and Leopard Geckos? can I supplement like every day for the nocturnal herps and weekly for the diurnal ones?

I never dust my leo's crickets but I have calcium with D3 in a dish for them to take at their leisure. Can I use centrum instead or just use what I have?

I wouldn't chance the Centrum unless it contains EXACTLY what a good herp vitamin supplement has in it, and I mean precise measurements. As for your calcium, you should be using pure calcium with NO D3 in your enclosures, and for dusting your crickets. Calcium with D3 should only be used about once a month; your herps can end up with a D3 overdose built up in their systems otherwise.

I give up! I've officially lost count of the critters...

ok now i'm confused. How often should I be dusting with a calcium supplement and then a d3 supplement with all of my herps? I use herptivite and rep-cal calcium with d3 mixed together. But I dont dust but maybe once a week and thats only for the white's tree frog.

maybe I need to ask exactly what I need to know. I'm very confused about this and it's starting to make sparks come out of my ears lol.

For my diurnal herps (beardy and iguana): (full uvb access)
how often do I dust with pure calcium (no d3)
how often with multivitamin (no d3)

Now for the white's tree frog. He's provided with full uvb access and he sleeps out in the open during the day..so do I need to provide d3 for him at all? if not..how often with the calcium and how often with the multivitamin

for the Leopard Geckos: (no uvb access)
Do I have a dish of pure calcium in the enclosure at all times and then dust with calcium/d3 once weekly? The d3 I would use has calcium/d3, and is mixed with herptivite.

for the dart frogs:
How often with calcium and how often with d3 (they dont have full uvb access)


sorry about all of the questions but I always thought I was doing it right. I'm not going to use centrum anymore. I am planning on just getting a pure calcium supplement and then plain herptivite by itself and using it. Then, for the ones that end up needing d3, can I stick with the rep-cal calcium with d3 that is mixed with herptivite?
