Skin under shedding skin is black...:(

Ohk, I just had a couple of vet appts . with my female chineses water dragon last week or so for her tail , part of it died but didnt fall off right away, but it fell off the day after I got her to the vet thankfully...but now she is in shed again, which I find very weird cause she was just in shed not 2 weeks ago, which leads me to be very worried because I noticed to today while I was giving her a bath that she has developed black sopts all under the sheding skin...so while I was giving her a bath I rubbed part of the shed a little to help get it off and I did..but theirs black spots everywhere...and they are not small...and Im afraid to say this but the black scales look just like her tail did...do you think she could have gotten an infection form her tail? shes on antibiotics still and I wont be able to get her to the vet till Monday...anyone ever had this problem or know what it could be? Shes eatign just fine too...I finally got her to accept crix and mealies rather then baby food and shes been drinking alot more then she usually does, although shes not as active as she usually is...*sighs* I think she enjoys vet trips...

Hmmmm... I would definitely get her back to the vet ASAP. I don't know a lot about it, but if the scales look like her tail did, then the infection may have spread... She may need stronger meds or a topical of some sort to finish clearing it up. If it seems to be spreading fast, if it were me, I'd try to get in an emergency call to the vet. Keep us posted, and good luck!

If your vet has an emergency contact number, I'd definitely call. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to her health.

Ohhh, good luck sweetie... At least she's where she can be more carefully monitored. If he's doing tests, it probably just means he's looking for a more specific cause so he can find the most effective antibiotic/treatment for her. Try not to worry too much, she's in good hands. Let us know how things go.
