Humidity
Looking for some advice on how to keep the humidity up in my igs tnk. I have a misting system but it still only keeps the humidity at 50% when its supposed to be 70-80%.

Hello,
What type of misting system are you using? Do you have it on a timer to automatically go off and on throughout the day?

Hello,
Try increasing the intervals or increase the duration that the mist spray for. Try having it run for 45 seconds every hour and see if that increases the humidity.
How big of an enclosure are you working with right now?

I've tried that but it only seems to flood the enclosure. The enclosure is only 4'x2'x1'

Try putting an under tank heater under your water bowl, This helps keep my WD humidity up to 80%

Does your enclosure have screen sides or is it solid walls? Screened cages make it very difficult to control humidity.

Try putting something in there which will hold moisture initially and release it over time as it dries. Moisture ballest if you will -- sounds complicated huh?
Hang something like cotton fabric or a hand towel on one of the walls and aim the spray at that. The cotton will absorb the water and dry over the next 59 minutes. I do this and even go as far as to get this wet under running water in the morning.
Don't get lost in just keeping the humidity at 60 or 70%. Remember water in the iguana (hydration) is more important than just water around the iguana (humidity). Keep that salad wet and carrying a lot of water into the ig.

I am using carpet as a substrate at the moment and was hoping this would release the moisture gradually as you described.
