how do I make the pictures smaller so I can post them because it sais picture is too large.

Any art application will allow you to change the dimensions of the image.

i have it saved under my pictures. so how would I make them smaller

Do you have any software you use to edit pics, like HP, photoshop, you can also use paint (under accessories) to resize. If you can upload to photobucket or something like that, it somewhat resizes for you, but also gives you links you can just copy and paste in here.

ok I got them loaded to photo bucket now how do I post them here

Under the pictures you uploaded, you will see three URL's. If you just want to post a link in here, choose the first url, just right click with your mouse, choose copy, the come back here right click and choose paste. If you want the actual pic to show here then copy and past the 3rd url.

If you are running WinXP, all you need to do is right click on a pic, and choose resize. It will give you 4 options, all of which I believe are too big to post on here. Click on advanced .... then click .. custom. I usually type 300 x 300. Then save it and it will work.

Posting the pic once in photobucket:

I see three lines of text under my photos one of which starts with IMG in square brackets [ ] -- copy that whole line and paste it in your post over here.

Resizing pics -- another option:
Photobucket will allow you to edit the photo (reduce to 75% 50% or 25% etc) once uploaded.

Paint has a stretch / skew feature under image -- or hit Ctrl+W and enter the size you want the pic to be in pixels. It is not the most user friendly program and you can get some really weird shapes.

Not all XP users have the right click to resize feature; I do not. You can open it with the MS photo/fax view (usually default) and then select edit (either right click on the pic or use the icon) and the photo/fax program will close and open the editor set as default for that image type.
