I could be some type of cyst, although I am not sure how fast they would form. Hopefully someone else can shed some light for you. A vet visit might be in order.

Abscess maybe? When in doubt call the vet. (i'm sure with all the mouth rot your vet is getting used to seeing you around alot )

I'm thinking possible abscess as well. Have you looked inside Shocks mouth to see if the tissues appear healthy? Get a look under the tongue if possible. I think a vet visit is a good idea.

Hold Shock in one hand (your non-dominant hand) with his back to your palm.
Your Index finger and thumb should be around the dragons neck area.
If you are flexable, you should be able to use your thumb to apply some gentle pressure to the base of the dragons neck- at the base of the dewlap (or as close as it gets to a dewlap on a wd).
As you apply downward pressure to the loose skin of the dewlap the dragons mouth will open.
Use your dominant hands index finger to apply a tiny bit of pressure to the opening lower jaw.
You should be able to see inside the mouth pretty good by this point if you've gotten this far. just wait for the dragon to move it's tongue around so you can see underneath.
BTW this method works pretty good for giving meds, applying meds to mouth area, and force feeding. Easier on the skin and tissues of the mouth than forcing a blunt object into the mouth as well.
