Shipping Reptiles

Hi,
At some time within the next few years I am going to want to start breeding snakes and possibly other reptiles. I just have a question about shipping.

Can you just ship them normally with fedex ground or something like that? If so, what type of box do you put them in and do they need some type of warmer or heat pad?

Thanks.

Edit: Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in, please move it if it is.

Here is a link from our other site, its listed as shipping bearded dragons, but shipping snakes is the same...babies you would put in container with airholes and larger snakes you could put in pillow cases or snake bags.

Wow. Thanks for the quick replies. So this means you can ship them overnight with FedEx or whatever? Do you have to tell FedEx that you are shipping a live animal?

Thanks again.

I am not sure about Fed-ex, but I know with DHL all you have to do is sign a waiver...best thing to do would be call them.
