what wood is good?
i want to build a new enclosure for Kaa my Brazilian Rainbow Boa and wanted to know what kind of wood I should use.any help would be great thanks

MDF is good but expensive, some us Melamine... Particle board would NOT be good to use...

Ok, silly question. What is a Brazilian Rainbow Boa? lol I have one made out of malamine and the other is made out of plywood and oak (pricey but looks REALLY nice). You can see both here.

You could really use just about any type you want. You are going to have to seal it agains t the humidity anyway. Personally I would use solid wood or melanine. the particle board type stuff will fall apart if it gets wet.

what do use to seal the wood? i don't want to use anything bad.
p.s. char snakes are good, here is a pic of my Brazilian Rainbow Boa hope it helps you maybe want to get one.
