Try giving it a good soaking and see if the spots come off. It's also possible that they are thermal burns. Can you post a pic so we can see.

Provide the wd with a very shallow water area that it can get out of easily. You need to make sure the baby is using it's water area several times a day. keep the humidity up but still make sure the cage is well ventilated to prevent mold growth etc.
When the babies toes, feet, tail etc (any areas that look like they need to shed or have built up shed) are wet, apply some 100% aloe vera gel onto the area. The aloe vera will keep the area moisturized when the baby isn't in it's water area and will help loosen the skin. After the baby has soaked you can gently rub the areas that have built up shed on them. This might help to loosen the skin so that more moisture can pentrate the area. Do not attempt to remove this old skin until it's very loose as you may damage the underlying tissue. If the toes are not healed over- you can add a bit of betadine to the soaking water until the water is a medium tea colour. This will act to disinfect the wounds and skin. The aloe vera that I'm talking about can either be purchased in a bottle (usually found in the lotion and or sun screen area of a store), but try to find a brand that has little to no additives or colouring. Or you can purchase an aloe vera plant and pluck off the spikes and squeeze fresh aloe vera gel right out of a spike. hope this helps! It works but it takes some time.

I don't know if this will work but I heard of using mineral oil and gently rub. I haven't used this yet, myself. Maybe Tricia has heard about this beijng used and if it's OK.
