My Savannah is sick...Please Help!!!

I have a savannah monitor (scout) who is about 4 months old and she is acting strange. she is falling down and flipping over she can't even catch her own food anymore. I am told it is due to a calcium deficiency and that she can be saved but that it will be easier to youthinize her but I am not willing to do that. I have been feeding her chicken baby food with a syringe just to get some nutrition into her. I love her very much and I don't want to lose her so if anyone could help me with advice on how to treat her please let me know.
Thanks Crystrena

she's gonna need some liquid calcium (from the vet) and exposure to UVB.

there is still hope for her and you will be amazed at how quickly they begin to recover once you have them on the proper treatment.

Once she's gotten to a vet, you'll need proper UVB lights, and a good calcium supplement to help her recover and to keep her healthy.

Thanks everyone I have been talking to a vet on the phone but the closest reptile vet is about 120 miles away from me. He says it will be easier to youthinize her that is why I came here to find help. She has full spectrum UVB lighting and I found a calcium supplement called Miner-all that I am mixing with the chicken baby food. She is looking alot better already. I cant find any liquid calcium supplements. Does anyone know where they are sold?

What type/brand is the lamp? Frequently the bulbs labeled as full spectrum have nothing to do with UVB. The labeling is misleading.

Also what temperature are you keeping the savanna. A frequent cause of problems with monitors seems to be inadequate heat.

You might also ask if the vet would be willing to consult by telephone with one of your local vets.

She has a Repti-sun 5.0 UVB light its one of the long bulbs that strech across the length of the tank. The box also says full spectrum but it is a sticker on the box I got that one because it is the one the pet store owner recommended. I keep her tank at around 95 degrees but because of where I live it gets to around 103 in the day time. She seems to be doing alot better but what is really concerning me right now is the weight she is losing she looks very thin and I am not sure if it is from her shedding or not,
Thanks to everyone for their help and let me know if that is the right lighting or if I should try something else at this point I am willing to do whatever it takes no matter what the cost.

You have a screen lid right? Also, how far is the bulb from the savy, and how old is the bulb? If the screen is too fine, not enough UVB will get past it. Fluorescent lights also can't push the UVB rays beyond 10-12 inches from the bulb, and they need to be replaced every 6 months.

Actually she has a glass top and until now no one has mentioned that she should have a screen lid but she will by the end of the day. The pet store owner said that glass would be best for keeping the heat from burning her. But then again he failed to even mention the calcium supplements when I bought her. I have a feeling that The diet he gave me was wrong too. The lights are about a foot above her should they be closer or further? Also I replaced it when she started getting sick so the bulb is new.
Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.
