Grr... no more sunning for my snakes?

I keep my lawn pesticide-free so I can take some of my snakes out to sun on the grass every so often. Just now, the county truck that sprays the pesticide to kill mosquitoes drove by! They aren't supposed to come down my street, since I am outside county limits. So now my clean yard is probably coated with bug spray residue. How long do you think it will be before it is safe again?

I'd personally wait until you've had 2 or 3 good rains.

I'd water my lawn twice a day for a month (paranoid)

And when the come to site you for too much watering... you can tell them to take it up with the mosquito abatement department.

Right... rain doesn't seem likely any time soon, time to break out the sprinklers.

Thanks for the help, and reassuring me that I am not the only super-paranoid herp parent out there!

Heh, I may have you beat in the super-paranoid herp (or any other kind of creature, human or otherwise) parent department I've been told I'm the world's paranoidiest...(like my new word? )

You've got good reason to worried! I'm doing my graduate work in environmental and reproductive toxicology and pesticides are some nasty stuff, even (or especially) in low doses for endocrine disruption!
