Humm.. I think that's too loose to hold any plant. Even the coco humus which is more compact, can't hold a plant.

For Crested Geckos just keep it simple. I would use coco-husk with some sand and tree fern fiber. You will need a bottom layer for drainage (clay pellets, gravel, some people even use non-biodegradable styrofoam pellets).

Coco husk is pretty loose but it will hold a plant. Coco is an excellent substitute for peat it is much more 'eco-friendly.'

Thank you for all the help! I will run out tomorrow and grab what I need and then I can finally get it set up, Fish tanks are so much faster to set up! LOL

Chronic, Tree Fern Fiber is not available here. is there something else I can use in it's place?

I just discovered I can get Jungle Mix here which is pretty much what I would have mixed myself. I think I will go with that.
I'll Post pics when I am done!

Ron, anything will work that will provide some drainage. Try some coco chips or orchid bark.
