Cali King escape

Escaped, but not lost. He was soaking in a tub with warm wet towels and my python was is the shower having dinner. To get to the point, the Kingsnake disappeared. This happened yesterday night. This morning I open my cabinet under my sink to find a full shed of the Kingsnake. It is the most perfect shed I've ever seen. I took everything out of the cabinet and while doing so, I could hear something moving around towards the back. With the cabinet empty, I noticed the hole in back of the cabinet where the pipe comes in. The pipe going through this hole is much smaller than the hole itself. I am 99% sure the snake is in there. Now my question is; Does anyone have any suggestions to get the snake out without cutting out the whole back side of my cabinet? Maybe if I put some of his old caves in the cabinet and a heat source and possible a mouse, do you think it can be lured out? I am open for suggestions if anyone can help. Thanks

There are several things you could try, like those you mentioned, and also leaving a bowl of water for drinking so the snake will seek it out so as not to get dehydrated, but personally I would take the thing to pieces, as you never know where he might wander and then he might be gone forever.

Good luck, hope you get him back safe and sound.

He found me!!

Thanks for the advice, but I'm glad I did not rip anything to pieces. I have several friends over and they were watching TV when the snake came slithering across the floor in front of everyone. No one would touch it, I just heard SNAKE!! I ran in the room and there he was. Lucky me.

Now you know another technique to get him back: just put his favorite show on TV =)

Actually I hope I find a home for him soon. That is why he has no name yet. He is still up for adoption. I have a lot on my hands right now or else I would keep him. He is the most non-aggressive snake I've ever seen and so pretty too.

Whew! I'm glad he came out! I remember how terrified I was when Ky-Lin escaped.
