I suggest taking the ig to a qualified vet. Appetite loss is a symptom, not the actual problem. If you can get a vet's assistance in locating the real problem, you will have a better chance of getting him back on feed and healthy again.

If you need a list of herp vets in your area, I can help you out. Just let me know, k.

Exactly how big is the iguana? (snout to vent length would be helpful) Does it have proper uvb lighting? what are you feeding it? are the temperatures and humidity right in the enclosure? how old is it? what kind of substrate do you have?....You gave a very vague description of its condition, I need more to make any sort of suggestions...When in doubt call the vet!

What type and size of enclosure do you have him in? What are the temps in both the basking and cool area? What substrate are you using? ie: newspaper, sand, etc. Are you using a UVB source, what brand? All of this information is really important to know for us to suggest anything. Cabbage is not very good, can you get your hands on bok choy? I have never had an iguana turn that down. Please get back to us with the above info and in the meantime, make a vet appointment.

You need that animal to a vet now! You are describing an animal that is dying. Time is important!
