Humidity issues

Does anyone here have any personal experiences with things like foggers, waterfalls or misting systems to increase humidity?
I have to spray mist my terrariums up to 3 times a day now in winter to keep the humidity at the basic levels! I've tried a moist tray with moss (helps quite a bit but wet sphagnum moss stinks!) I've tried covering the ventilation holes and providing a moist hide...
Any thoughts?

What size tanks are they? Depending on the size of the tanks there might be a way to increase it. For my 75 (WD's tank) I have a screen lid that covers the entire top. On the left side is the UV and basking lights, and the right side is a glass sheet that covers the entire half (sits on top of the screen). Under the glass sheet is a waterfall, and under that is a Under Tank Heater. The Under Tank Heater warms the water in the waterfall, and as the water evaporates it releases moisture into the air.
You could mimic this setup in a smaller tank with a glass bowl (or anything similar that would hold water). Just put a Under Tank Heater under it and it should help with the humidity.
Foggers are ok and they do work to an extent, but they leave the air smelling stale, so if you plan on using one you might have to create more ventilation.
As for misting systems, I've never tried them so I don't know. I made my own once that worked pretty good, but the bottom line is warm water equals higher humidity. I don't know if this helps any, but maybe you can get some ideas.

I just bought a mister this week. So far, it doesn't do ****. It was $25. With mine you attach an aquarium air pump to it and it pumps air to an air stone in the water. The air stone agitates the water and there's a spnge that soaks the water up near the surface of the mister. Then the generated evaporation is supposed tp escape the humidifier by traveling through a little hose and then escape into the tanks as wator vapor. The trouble is, it doesn't do what its supposed to do! lol, maybe you should get a fogger and let me know how that works for ya

Reptile Direct has what appears (keyword here) to be a nice automatic misting system. It looks like it might be worth checking out:
