to-day at work asked me some snake questions and I need help to answer them
1.can my snake tell me by my sent?,when my wife hold our corn he seems to want to come to me and tries to get away from her.we wash with the same soap before we handle him and she doesn`t wear any kind of perfume.
2.dose a snake go "blind" when they get the caps on there eyes during a shed? like is he more likely to bite out of defence cause he can`t see.
any help would be great they think cause I own 1 snake i`m an expert on them.

1. I would be inclined to answer yes to this question - I believe that reptiles get to know their owner, just as any other animal does, only they do so by different senses. Since taste and smell are the strongest of the snakes' senses, they learn to know us through these rather than other senses.

2. Most definately! Snakes have quite poor eyesight anyway, and when they are in shed they are almost blind. They are much more likely to strike or bite out of defence because one of their lesser senses has been decreased even more.

I agree. Of our 2 ball pythons, Kathy's definately prefers her and goes to her as mine does to me.
When the eyecaps shed they may not be completely blind but it does hinder them a bit. If something comes toward them that they can't identify they are going to defend themselves.

It depends on the snake and how comfortable it is with you. If you startle him before he realizes its you there is a risk of being bitten.
