Fixing Scratches on Viv Glass
Hi all.
My question is. I bought a used aquarium and got it all set up and when I added the lights I noticed the glass is scratched up bad. Tank itself is great but anyone know of a safe for reptiles way to fix the scratches?? There are products out there that will do the job but it's debatable if it may hurt Messiah(basilisk)Thanks

I would contact your local glass shop. They might be able to recommend something. Just make sure to clean it up well afterwards.

re: Fixing Scratches on Viv Glass
More than likely the products just resurface the glass. Got a pic of the viv you bought? You could replace the glass for cheaper than what it will cost to have the scratches fixed.

It's just a 35 gallon aquarium . Really it's not terrible it just interferes with my staring at him all day a bit lol. I have pictures on the picture pages here. Can we post pics here? I don't know the rules and don't want to make anyone mad.

re: Fixing Scratches on Viv Glass
Yes you can post pics. Just copy the direct link code and paste it. It will look like this.
Code:
http://www.herpcenter.com/gallery/files/1/5/2/3/Im000983.jpg
All you do is add this
Code:
[img ]http://www.herpcenter.com/gallery/files/1/5/2/3/Im000983.jpg[ /img]
Remove the spaces in the [img] brackets.

Okay I will give it a go. Once I figure it out I'll be a picture posting fiend. Anyone know if I can link it to my facebook photo albums? Got all my furry and feathered pets on there too. :-)

Yay for me I did it. Thanks for telling me how Moogle. Feeling terribly clever now. :-) Anyhow this is the viv as of now.Going to add a few more climbing branches and leafy stuff..he loves that. He also loves sitting in his "guppy pond" has even caught a couple feeder guppies.
