im not sure what they are so i took a picture and tried to post it but it just showed up as a red x.

Lacey, try editing her first post. You'll see the invisible code for the photo that's not working.

Your problem is you're using the URL for the page the photo is on, not the URL for the photo. Basically you're trying to insert an image using IMG tags, but the URL you're using doesn't belong to a picture. It belongs to the page with the picture on it.

When using Photobucket, under the thumbnail of your image (before you click it to make it bigger) you'll see options like "Email and IM", "Direct Link", "HTML Code", and "IMG Code". All you have to do to insert an image to a forum is copy and paste the IMG Code directly into your post. It's the same thing that the "Insert Image" button does, it adds IMG tags so the picture shows up in the post. If you look at the URL in that code, it's different than the URL you were using.

And if you were to use the "Insert Image" button while posting, you'd want to copy the "Direct Link" URL under your photo, but as I said, the IMG Code will do all that for you anyway.

I did it by editing your post, thus revealing the code that wasn't working. I copied the URL and it took me to your Photobucket page with the photo on it. Then I copied the IMG code from one of my own Photobucket images and subbed in your details for mine. If I said I wasn't proud of myself I'd be lying, cause I'm really not that technologically inclined if you ask me Of course only AFTER I did all that did I realize that the images correct IMG code is also available to the right on the page you used, so I could have just copied it from there instead of replacing my code with yours. But I'm just going to pretend that's not really there and pretend I'm still smart

But anyway, the picture in your other thread works now, and I'm moving this thread into the "Help" forum for archival purposes, in case someone else has the same problem
