MHD+Iguana
So my Iggy has a strange attraction to my mountain horned dragon...
He escapes from his cage constantly and finds his way over to my MHD's cage and crawls up the mesh on the sides, where my MHD likes to hang out. We are pretty sure our iggy, Jerry, is a male and our MHD is a female. I don't know if he likes her (if it's possible reptiles can like a reptiles different than them) or if he likes her cage. I'm thinking about putting him in with her and see if they get along but i'm not sure if I should... anyone else have an opinion about this? |

Re: MHD+Iguana
I would say that putting the two together is probably not a good idea. Igs can be VERY territorial and could easily hurt your horned dragon just because.

Re: MHD+Iguana
I would say that he is interested in knowing who is invading his territory. I can assure you that if you put them in together,, they will not be "friends" and if there is not a death of the dragon there will be serious injuries. Iguanas are not a social lizard and in fact are extremely territorial, I think you may have mistaken the interest in her for him being territorial.

Re: MHD+Iguana
how big is your iguana compared to your horned dragon. When my Ig escapes my hands and jets around my house he usually ends up right back at his cage just because of the light. so maby hes attracted to the light. how does the horned lizard react to this

Re: MHD+Iguana
I would also think that the iguan is more interested in this creature that has invaded hs realm. Male/female has nothng to do with it. Iguanas generally don't "like" each other and certainly not other species.
If your ig can get to the dragon it will most likely attack it.
