did my pools today PICS

I sealed the pools today..I hope I did good...do you think it is big enough? for some reason I figured it would look bigger...but I like it and once I get the wall up it should look fantastic.

with the filter (waterfall) let me know if you tink it will work..plus the largest shell I have for size...my crabs are smaller right now though.

I am not sure if I should put the waterfall on the side

or on the back

thanks!

paige, its kinda hard to tell from the pics, but do you have something under the slanted wall to help hold it up? Its going to be heavy when water is in there, support is good. And I curious as to the divider? Is that to make 2 pools? Just wondering. It looks like its going to be a great setup.

try putting tape or something on the plastic so we can see what goes where, or tape a sheet of paper to it so its not clear. from what I can tell it looks like a great start.

Just hazarding a guess, but, I would assume that the angled plexi is going to be held up by the dirt in the viv.

yeah, but the dirt can compress, leaving space for the silicone to bend and eventually break.

Re: did my pools today PICS

hmm. well I was planning on the EE to hold it up. I hope it will work..I didn't think there would be so much water that it would break the plexi glass? It is smaller then I thought also...so really I wouldn't think it would be able to break it? I will have to try it when I test the sealsout..if it holds the water even without the EE there then hopefully it would be fine?

I have a divider for two pools, fresh and salt =) for hermit crabs. The divider might provide some support as well?

Re: did my pools today PICS

gotcha on the pools. I didn't know they needed a choice of one or the other.

The center will provide some support. Might be worth your time to cut a triangle out, or if you have a spare and at least wedge it in there.

Re: did my pools today PICS

I have some left over I could do that =)

Yes they need both. it is sad that most crabs die because people don't know that. I will see what I can do about the wedge. Thanks.
