Materials that heat well?

I was wondering what made a good heating pad. Are Zoo med's Repti Therm under the tank heaters good? I've come across them a few times.

That will work or a good old fashion heating pad, many members here including myself use them. I guess it depends on the size of the tank and what your useing it for.

I would suggest a Under Tank Heater or human heat pad for a corn, its best to have belly heat form them. This aides in the digestion process.

I agree....a basic human heating pad is the best and cheapest...just dont get one with an automatic shut off.....

I use human type heating pads for all my corns and kings. Unless you have the tank in a very cool room a Ceramic Heat Emitter would be too hot.

I've been hearing Under Tank Heater crack some cages. What should I put btwn the heater and the cage...or should I elevate the cage on wood or...etc?

I use human heating pads, attached to a rheostat and have them directly on wooden dressers or wooden shelving

Thanks. You are all the best! Haha. What brand human pad though? Or does that even matter? Dry heat, right?
